Summary
The plenary talk would deal with two aspects of ultrafast Raman loss spectroscopy. The first part would be on the significant differences between the femtosecond stimulated Raman spectrosocpy and ultrafast Raman loss spectroscopy, in terms of the experimental approach and unique advantages. In the second part, the line shape changes observed in stimulated Raman spectrosocpy due to resonant excitation would be presented. Based on this study, we hope to suggest methods to choose ideal wavelengths to carry out steady state and time resolved stimulated Raman experiment with good signal to noise ratio would be presented.
